We are a referral practice, with most patients referred to us from physicians in various specialties. We communicate with your referring physician about you, our diagnosis, treatment and recommendations to keep your primary care/referring physician apprised of your care. In addition to our specialized training and experience, we believe that we achieve high quality care in other ways too:
- We practice in state-of-the art facilities, both office and endoscopy centers, as we make certain you are cared for in a pleasant environment by a well-trained staff that is knowledgeable and courteous.
- We practice in the best hospital systems throughout the state of Florida, that staff with highly trained personnel. At these hospitals, our patients receive the premier care they deserve and that we expect them to receive.
We thank you for the confidence you have placed with us by giving us the opportunity to serve you and your primary care physician.

Experience Matters
The most frequently asked question we receive is, “How much experience does my physician have?” Well, experience does matter and is a good indicator of results. The more experience, the better the outcome.
Annually, our physicians, and staff provide care to almost 105,000 patients with digestive disorders and conditions that include Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Liver disease including Hepatitis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Reflux Acid Disease, and Esophageal Disorders.
Skill Matters
Borland-Groover Clinic physicians perform more than 43,000 colonoscopies a year, a procedure used to screen for cancer and polyps. Every BGC physician performs at minimum of 720 colonoscopies each year, with many performing more than 1,200 procedures annually.
Studies have shown that gastroenterologists perform higher quality colonoscopy screenings when compared to other types of physicians.

Clinical Research
At Borland-Groover Clinic, the work our physicians participate in through research is truly the foundation for excellence in healthcare, and is an investment in future medical advancements. Patients that participate in our clinical trials are the first to receive new medications and or therapies for many GI diseases. Our physicians are active clinical investigators who perform individual research projects and authored papers that are presented or published via gastroenterology national societies.
In 2009, over 2,000 patients participated in various clinical trials for Hepatitis, Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Irritable Bowel Disease, Gastroparesis, and Reflux.
