A screening colonoscopy is recommended for all patients that are age 50 or older, those with history of polyps or colorectal cancer, individuals with a first degree relative with colorectal cancer, individuals that have been diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis and those with Crohn’s should contact their doctor about a screening colonoscopy.
