Local Physicians with Borland-Groover Clinic Participate in Code Blue
February 20, 2012Jacksonville, Florida – February 17, 2012 –March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and Borland-Groover Clinic continues their campaign to raise awareness about colon cancer, the third most common causes of cancer deaths in men and women. That’s why the clinic has partnered with one of Jacksonville’ leading broadcast networks, CBS47 and Fox30, for the third year in a row, to increase awareness and to educate the local community about various health concerns such as colon cancer. Code Blue will air March 1, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.
Participating doctors are all specialty trained experts from the Borland-Groover Clinic and include Drs. Cooper, Ibach, Corey, Nieto, Gopal and Herman. They will be in the studio fielding on calls on a wide range of topics such as common symptoms of colon cancer, information about colonoscopy prep and procedure, risk factors like family history and any other topical issues callers wish to discuss.
In addition to Code Blue, ten year colon cancer survivor, Jan Pratt and her physician, Dr. Hoffman, will be on during the morning news to discuss the disease and encourage viewers to tune in to the evening program.
Borland-Groover Clinic hopes Code Blue will bring community-wide awareness to the importance for colon cancer screenings and ultimately help reduce the number of local individuals diagnosed with the disease.
