Apurv Varia, M.D.

Dr. Apurv Varia was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated sum cum laude from Temple University with a Bachelor in Economics and Human Biology. He continued at Temple University completing his medical education and earning his M.D. Following medical school, Apurv attended University of Illinois in Chicago to complete his Internal Medicine residency. After residency, Apurv moved to Houston for his fellowship in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at University of Texas Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center. His interests as a physician include prevention/screening, gastroesophageal reflux disease, Barrett’s esophagus, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver disease.
