Leslie Perla, M.D., F.A.C.P.

Dr. Perla is a board certified gastroenterologist, who has been in clinical practice since 1996. She completed her medical internship and residency program at North Shore University Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York in 1993. During that time she was awarded the George M Jaffin Award for Scholarly activity. She subsequently went on to complete her gastroenterology training at the Yale affiliated gastroenterology fellowship program at the Hospital of St. Raphael and Waterbury hospital in Connecticut in 1996. During that period she coauthored a book chapter in Gastrointestinal Emergencies 2nd Edition. She relocated to Florida in 2007. She was awarded Medical Physician of the Year by Palm Beach County Medical Society Services in 2009. In 2010 she was selected as a “Top Gastroenterologist in Wellington Florida” by the International Healthcare Professionals. She joins Borland-Groover Clinic in 2011. Her interests include colon cancer surveillance, treatment of gastroesophageal reflux as well as management of inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome. She has participated in advisory board committees on gastroesophageal reflux disease as well as inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Perla is an active member of the American College of Physicians, American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
