Gastroenterologist

Dr. Mamoon Ur Rashid graduated summa cum laude from Khyber Medical College in Pakistan, one of the top institutions in the country. He was appointed as president of student council during his final year and awarded "Best Graduate for the year 2013-2014". Dr. Rashid secured more than 12 Gold Medals during his medical school.  

In 2016, Dr. Rashid moved to Orlando, Florida to pursue his career in medicine. He fell in love with the sunshine state. He continued his research work in gastroenterology while completing his internal medicine residency at AdventHealth Orlando and GI fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida. He graduated in top ranks during IM residency and was appointed chief fellow during his GI Fellowship. Motivated by his love for gastroenterology, Dr. Rashid joined Borland Groover to serve the Clay County population.  

Dr. Rashid specializes in management of various gastrointestinal disorders, including abdominal pain, gastroesophageal reflux disease, esophageal disorders, peptic ulcer disease, colorectal cancer screening, inflammatory bowel diseases, liver diseases, diarrhea and constipation. He is married to a fellow physician and the proud parent of two children. During his free time, he likes to travel, cook, swim, watch sports, play cricket and squash. Dr. Rashid's office is in our Orange Park Location. His hospital practice is primarily based at the Orange Park Medical Center.
